Nearly five years ago, our family decided to turn our quaint office building on the river into something special. After much prayer, encouragement, and hard work, we decided to build The DeCantillon to honor our late mother and father and create a space for our family to celebrate for every occasion. It is our priveledge to host weddings and all events in our family venue.

Hi friends, I'm Sophie, our venue manager! I have the blessing of helping couples celebrate one of the biggest days of their lives at a place that means so much to me personally. The DeCantillon is my family's venue, and I just recently had the honor of celebrating my own wedding here (the very first wedding ever held on the property) surrounded by the people I love most! Because of that experience, I know just how special these moments are, and I'm incredibly grateful to work alongside my family every day in a place we built with so much heart. It means the world to me to play a small part in your story, and I'm honored to help make your wedding day everything you've dreamed of.
Our mom, Kasey Miller, loved any excuse to bring people together. From holidays to birthdays to any family parties, she was always the one making everyone feel welcome. She was hands-down the fanciest person we knew, and anyone who knew her would agree. When designing The Katherine House, we wanted it to reflect her in every way. Naming it after her felt like the perfect way to honor the woman who taught us that the best memories are made around a table filled with family and friends.
